So excited to announce….new partnership with Artful Blooms!

March 25, 2011

Bloomington, Indiana’s modern and unique floral company, Artful Blooms, can now be found right here in our office! Social Butterfly clients now have the luxury of being able to meet with their planner and florist together in our studio. Not only is this an added benefit to brides by saving them time by meeting with both vendors in one meeting, they also have the peace of mind knowing they have a team working together to create their unique design scheme.

Artful Blooms is composed of two talented women: Teresa Kinder and Karen Pacific. Not only are they simply amazing at floral arranging, they also create custom, unique, and modern floral designs.   We are so happy to pair with them!

Here are just a few of our favorite weddings with Artful Blooms:

What sprung this partnership? It was a realization after working together on numerous weddings that we often share the same brides: this is the modern bride, who’s wedding is all about the details,  who loves unique designs, and isn’t afraid to have a wow factor at her wedding.

Aaron and Lauren’s Enchanted Wedding

February 22, 2011

After more than a year of planning with this adorable couple, the Social Butterfly team created Aaron and Lauren’s fairytale wedding! The breathtaking ceremony held during the early evening in October was dimly lit and decorated with tall, gorgeous trees and candles. The couple asked that every guest walk down the aisle before taking their seats to ensure everyone received the entire experience.

Immediately following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour in the Solarium. Meanwhile, the Social Butterfly and Union catering teams transformed Alumni Hall for the reception. Tables were brought out, the trees were rearranged, and uniquely patterned lighting illuminated the entire space. As guests reentered the room, they were amazed by the incredible transformation. Throughout the night, the couple’s friends and family left notes of their best wishes on the wish tree, ate the delicious meal, and danced the night away! It was a great time had by all!

Aaron and Lauren’s reception was not just simply gorgeous… It was full of surprises, beginning with the first dances. The newlyweds impressed their family and friends with their graceful waltz. During the father-daughter dance, the bride was surprised by a slide show arranged by her dad. And lastly, but certainly not least, the bride’s father arranged for a bagpiper to perform during the reception! Needless to say, there was never a dull moment!

This wedding was truly amazing and we are so thrilled to have been a part of it! Best wishes to the bride and groom!

Bloomington Bridal Show 2011

January 28, 2011
The Social Butterfly team was so excited to attend the 2011 Bloomington Bridal show.  This year’s booth combined a stunning silver and blue crystal table design and lounge area. The table featured a light blue satin linen with a luxurious silver ruffled overlay.  The centerpeice featured gorgeous white florals with lots of hanging crystals, along with crystal-mimicking candle holders.

Each table setting had transluscent menu and escort cards, set on top of clear plates with the light blue napkin and silver chargers.

To add to the multi-leveled centerpiece, small ranunculus were tightly bound in mercury glass vases. Florals by Artful Blooms

Matching blue glasses filled with blue crystals added extra sparkle to the table

Fallen orchids surrounding each place setting

Dramatic, contemporary white florals sat on top of hanging crystals. All florals by Artful Blooms

Thanks to Teresa at Artful Blooms for the beautiful and creative flowers!

Thanks to Eric Rudd for these great pictures!

We had a blast and were so excited to meet so many brides-to-be!!  See you again next year!
